Warm welcome, super friendly service. Attentive and informative when recommending dishes and wines. Warm atmosphere, staff went over and above in making us feel welcome. Food presentation, quality and taste superb. Highly recommended. Franco's sin for dessert was a highlight. Thank you for your hospitality and humour.

We had dinner twice (second time we moved another reservation just to be able to eat here again) and every time it was excellent. The food, the service from the staff and the owner both were absolutely amazing. Our 2 years old wiped the plates clean both times, which was a nice bonus for us. Definitely a must when in Madeira!First time we had fresh fish on the grill, second time the scabbard fish and octopus dish, all recommended. For desert we went with Franco’s sin and Cherry mousse paired with a nice Madeira wine. Franco’s sin is simply to die for.

I could not dream of better place to celebrate my wife's birthday. It was a wonderful experience! All thanks to Dennis and the rest of amazing staff. Thank you once again!

This a gem of a restaurant. The food is fantastic and menu on offer is well thought out. The service and staff is first rate and most of all friendly and welcoming.We have eaten here 4 nights on our holiday. We will be back again on our next trip.You will not be disappointed.

Welcome was great as came through the door.Good recommendation from waiter on not over ordering on the starter. The garlic bread and shared prawns were enough and really tasty. My wife loved the sauce and used the bread to mop as much of it up as she could.We had the fish rice as a main. This too was a good portion and it tasted so good. I think we both would of licked the bowl out if we could.Staff were great.Highly recommend, gutted couldn't get back to eat there again.

We decided to try Franco’s Corner based on great reviews and mentions that the menu and staff were extremely accommodating to Gluten Free people. 2 out of 3 of us are gluten free so we decided to give it a try and wow are we happy we did. We had to come back a second time as the food was extraordinary. We had the squid ink pasta, citrus risotto with scallops, fish of the day, scabbardfish, and Franco’s sin for dessert both times. The quality of service and food was exceptional and we made great memories at Franco’s Corner. It is the first restaurant we’ll come back to when we visit Madeira again!

Wonderful local restaurant with incredibly delicious food and friendly staff. Franco, the owner, was there to make sure everything went perfectly! We went for dinner Saturday night and had delicious scallops and cod fish Franco style, then came back two days later for lunch when we repeated the scallops and added an amazing duck with sweet and mashed potatoes with honey. The bread is amazing, and for lunch we also had the prawns in garlic which were delicious. We were too full for a dessert after lunch, but after dinner I had Franco's Sin which was a wonderful yogurt mousse with caramel sauce.

Should’ve taken more pictures but the food and service was first class. The prawns were amazing!
